A week of unexpectation

It's a double feature today. But this entry is gonna be much shorter.

Last week there was quite a lot of stuff that surprises me.

I met a friend from abroad in my part time job. He is French. He made me realize that I hate this job.

I got quite an unexpected job interview, the interview itself was unexpected and the tasks was unexpected. I don't know the result yet but the interview itself was a great experience. It reminded me something important.

A friend came back to Hong Kong without notice. He wanted to join us to watch a soccer game but I couldn't get him a ticket. Only at the last minute a friend offer me an extra ticket, someone I consider surprising in this situation.

On top of these I found out a lot of good entertainment, including some good songs and good movie, and even a good stand-up comedian, which I consider very surprising and enlightening.

For those of you who are not into sport or Asian affairs. There was a thing called the East Asian game that is held in Hong Kong. So of course there are the Olympics which is the Internatioal game. then you have your Continental sports event like Asian Game or African game. And before you have your national game, somehow in some regions like the East Asia, have its own East Asian Game too.

It is seriously a small event, there are so-called 9 country + regions. But we decided to brag about it. The tagline is "Be a Legend". Not only that, we have to brag about almost everything. The opening ceremony, it's the first one to be held in front of a harbour but not in the main venue, they said it is creative. But it's actually no different to a restaurant to let the guest sit outside the restaurant, because they have to admit that the interior of the restaurant are shit.

But the fact is, almost everyone who are involved in this thing can bring up something that disappointed them. Like the tickets are not being sold at the venue. The volunteers are being taken off dictatively. Or the venue is not matching the architect standard. Non of this thing are seriously a harm to the entire organization. But enough to give a bad impression.

We the Hong Kongers were proudly one of the smartest crowd in the world. Which is why this city was growing so fast in the past. Now we are a bunch of punks who mastered the ass-kissing. (Oh not all of us of coz, just those who headed this thing)

Don't get me wrong I love sport, I love this little event (and when I say little I mean little), I love my city. I just hoped this event was held flawless. less fireworks, better food.
